LEAGUE INFO

Average team age at least 18. Minimum age 16 with an adult on the team each night with parental/guardian permission.

Matches follow standard indoor volleyball rules with rally scoring. A ball touching the line is considered in. Players may not touch the net during play, and crossing the center line in a way that interferes with the opponent is a fault. Back-row attack and blocking rules apply as normal. No lifts allowed. Doubles allowed if another player on the same team contacts it before crossing the plane of the net.

Teams must have at least 5 eligible players present at the scheduled start time to begin a match. If a team is not ready to play within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, they may forfeit the first set. After 15 minutes, the entire match may be recorded as a forfeit. Warm-ups should be completed before the scheduled start so matches can begin on time.

We expect all players, captains, and spectators to show respect to teammates, opponents, and officials at all times. Trash talk, taunting, or aggressive behavior is not allowed. Any use of hateful language, threats, or physical contact outside of normal play may result in immediate removal from the match and possible suspension from the league. Captains are responsible for helping keep their team’s behavior in check.

League-assigned officials have full authority over the match. Their decisions on points, faults, and conduct are final. Players and captains may ask brief, respectful questions for clarification, but arguing calls or showing disrespect toward officials is not allowed. If an official feels unsafe or disrespected, they may stop the match and report the incident to the league for further action.

Teams may carry up to 8 players on their roster for the season. Only players listed on the official roster are allowed to participate in matches. Substitutes must be added before the roster deadline; no last minute “walk ons” are allowed without league approval. If a team needs an emergency sub, they must contact the league in advance for approval, and that sub cannot strengthen the team beyond its original level. All players must play in at least 3 games to be eligible to play in the playoff tournament.

League fees are non-refundable once the season schedule has been released, except in rare cases approved by the league (such as league cancellation or major changes). If a team or player chooses to withdraw after registering, no refunds or credits are guaranteed. If the league must cancel a large portion of the season due to unforeseen circumstances, we will communicate any partial credit or refund options directly to captains.

Free agents are individual players who sign up without a full team. The league will do its best to place free agents on a team that matches their skill level and needs players. Placement is not guaranteed, but we will communicate options clearly before the season starts. Once placed, free agents are full members of that team’s roster and must follow all the same rules and expectations.
